Weather
Spring averages −5 to 5°C, summer 8–18°C, autumn 0–8°C, and winter −15 to −8°C in Sarek. This summer trek enjoys midnight sun and the warmest weeks for valley crossings. Snow lingers on passes into July. Weather is unpredictable; storms arrive with little warning.

Culture
Sarek is Sámi territory — reindeer herding families have moved through these valleys for centuries. The park has no huts, no trails, and no facilities. Respect the wilderness code: leave no trace, cross rivers carefully.
Natural history
Sarek is one of Europe's last great wildernesses — six peaks over 2,000m, glaciers, and valleys with no human infrastructure. Golden eagles, wolverines, and brown bears inhabit the park. Reindeer migrate through the valleys each season.
Local food
Kiruna restaurants serve reindeer, Arctic char, and cloudberry desserts before and after the trek. All food must be carried into Sarek — there are no shops or huts. Dehydrated meals and energy bars fuel camp nights.

Sarek has no marked trails, no huts, and no bridges — one of the few places in Europe where you can trek for days without seeing any sign of human infrastructure.
